A brief update on the now eight so-called “omnibus” packages that the European Commission has published over the last months to simplify the EU rulebook.
These eight packages contain 23 legislative proposals in total, which are now moving through the EU processes to become law.
Here is my up-to-date overview of their status. As you can see, most files still have a long way to go. Only four have been adopted. These mainly push back compliance deadlines.
Another package on the automotive sector is now expected on 16 Dec.
