😵💫 Trying to keep up with EU regulation? Here’s your regular update – building on my EU law tracker.
Some highlights:
🔹 New public consultations: particularly important are the revision of the New Legislative Framework – covering a wide range of product regulation – and the related Revision of Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 on market surveillance and compliance of products (open for feedback: 12 Nov – 04 Feb)
🔹 The Council agreed its negotiation position on the defence simplification (omnibus) files and on the further delay of the implementation of the Deforestation Regulation.
🔹 The Parliament adopted its position on the core sustainability simplification (omnibus) proposal, opening the way for trilogues – 2025/0045(COD)
🔹 Lots of application dates are coming up towards the end of the year. I’ll post a separate update on this soon.
